Flywheel Pin - Can’t Find One!
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1765927617.jpg
Part number leads to a flywheel. Anyone have a part number for this allen bolt? I found this: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/93010222100.htm?pn=930-102-221-00-OEM&srsltid=AfmBOopgEAr5Epr80AyRfhZwE3ajb8_eZq2Qlw gA3o1dylmEfWXqOTkb But this can’t be right… it’s $96 |
Just a normal allen bolt. Steel, not stainless.

Match the original height.

Hoping to find one locally. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1765935722.jpg My first Porsche engine build. It’s been very challenging and fun: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1765935822.jpg |
Re John stating no stainless, I remember his post about a replacement flywheel that came with a stainless one = no trigger effect on the sensors so a no run situation.

I just looked at an old flywheel and it had an allen head threaded set screw instead of an allen bolt, so that's another fix, or put a washer under your allen bolt to get to 6mm.

Done.
What was left of the stock pin/screw needed a lot of persuasion with a drill, torch and kroil but it finally came out. Measured the height of the stock piece as best as we could and got this steel bolt exactly 4.99mm, just where the stock one probably was. Loctite and done. edit: ps - one sensor is gapped at .8mm per manual, the new screw head is about 1mm away from the second sensor. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1766025008.jpg |
