piston + cylinder tolerances
In one of the last pages of Wayne's new book, there's a list of P + C tolerances - standard size 0, standard size 1 , standard size 2, oversize size 1, oversize 2 etc etc etc..
What do they mean, and how to choose? ![]() thanks |

These are size groupings. After P+C's are made they are measured. Then a number is stamped into them.
Example: On a 2 liter motor cylinder. Standard size 0 would be 80.00 to 80.01mm Standard size +1 would be 80.01 to 80.02mm. On a 2 liter motor piston. Standard size 0 would be 79.935 to 79.945mm Standrad size +1 would be 79.945 to 79.955mm So you see, you match P+C's by size group. 0 pistons with 0 cylinders. +1 pistons with +1 cylinders and so on.
