Rebuild 2.7 vs used 3.0

Hi, my budget is limited, as most of us here, right? So, i am wondering what to fit into my 914/6 conversion already sporting a 2.2E with Webers.

Would i rather go with a 2.7S rebuild from scratch using:
news RS p/cs, E- or S-cams (have both), Webers and 1974 headers for an estimated 210HO aka Anderson
OR
a used (undocumented) 3.0L longblock, to be used with the same Webers, stock CIS p/cs and cams and 1974 headers for an estimated 225HP aka Anderson.

Help me decide, i just cant myself....

A used 3.0L long block will need to be rebuilt in the semi-near future. With a rebuilt 2.7, you will know what you're getting...
