Question Pistons & Cylinders

If you have Alucil cylinders, what's the best route to go. I've heard:
1) Get the Alucil redone
2) Buy new pistons and cylinders
3) Get the JE Piston / Cylinder Combo
4) Go up to 3.2 Pistons and Cylinders and keep everything else stock

I'm in the position of having to chose one of the above, or another if someone has another thought? I'm not trying to build a race engine. Just want a street engine that will give me 100k to 200K life span once I'm done.

And yes, I know there will not be consensus. I want to learn from what everyone thinks to help make an informed decision.

If you have the cash, you should go with the 3.2, supposed to make an evil quick reving motor.

I would use JE pistons for a 3.2 and have the cylinders bored and Nikasil coated. I don't know what it costs, but for my kart, coating is about $200 for one cylinder. You might be able to get the cylinders done and new pistons for around $2000.

You didn't mention Mahle (Nikasil) P&C's.
That's what I installed last winter. I could have re-ringed my Alusils, as there was very little wear (only 80k miles). I was lucky in that a good mechanic friend sourced a new Mahle set for me, so I went for it.

I did think briefly about a 3.2 conversion, but after discussing it with some pro's I trust, I decided it would not be worth the money.

On my 1977 930 I plan to rebore my 95mm cylinders and use JE 98 mm pistons with 7.5:1 comp ratio. The replating shop here in Oz say they do this all the time, & all they need is my old cylinders & new pistons. Should be any number of places to get this done in the States and might work out cheaper than a complete 3.2 piston & cylinder set.
