Oil Pressure Warning Light
I have a 77 911S. According to the PO, the 2.7 engine only has 25k miles on it total, the prior engine having blown. It runs wonderfully except for one problem:
Recently, the Oil Pressure Warning Light has come on and stayed on. The oil pressure guage reads oil pressure in the neighborhood of 10 lbs per 1000 rpm and fluctuates as it should. I am leaking no oil, the oil temp is fine... I know little about these cars, other than what I have been reading. Can anyone help me here? Does this sound like just a bad light? Bad oil pressure switch? Or should I really be worried and park the car? |

Describe what you believe to be the oil pressure light; there is also an alternator light. Where and what color is the light? Jim

First thing to do is to replace the sensor, to make sure it's working correctly...
