Cylinder Code Revealed

See a previous post under Rouge (mispelled rogue) Cylinder.

This is the reply from Mahle, Germany that solves the concern I had about the differing cylinder code from what I removed from my car.

Dear Lee Coleman,

Now I know, what you mean. The photos in the .PDF-file I could open.
The "W15" and "W16" are only internal codes. The numbers around the "B" are
informations about production date.

The only important information for you is the "B" (grade of the cylinder
liner) which has to me matched with the piston grade "AB" or grade "B". If
we sold you the assembly, you can be sure, that the piston will do a
perfect job in the cylinder liner.

If you have any question, please do not hesitate, to let us know.
