I am one of those that are very appreciative of Wayne, his book and this site. I followed the book and found very few areas that were confusing or that were not explained in enough detail. When you add the experience and help people provide on this board, I think almost anyone that doesn't mind getting dirty can accomplish this project sucessfully and be proud of the results.
I recently completed my rebuild and although I had a few set backs (Oil leaks) my car is running better than ever and I'm not ashamed of it anymore. Once the burnt oil smell goes away I might even let other people in the car. I was thinking that there are many people out there that have followed Waynes book and have sucessfully completed their project with Waynes help along with the others on this BBS. I just wanted to take a minute and say THANKS WAYNE and PP! Thanks everyone else that have taken the time to help me. If you have completed your project and feel the same way please Post a reply with your sucess story. ![]() (Those that are still working the project welcome!) |

Oil leaks are the number one problem. Typically the prep work is what stops the oil leaks. Everything needs to be super-clean, like it was new...
Thanks for the comments and your support! -Wayne
