what is the deal with motormeisters?

just the mere mention of the name made a buddy wrinkle up his face like he smelled....

just ordered wayne's rebuild book. need to educate myself.

Wow, very interesting thread. I almost sent my motor to MM but I changed my mind and bought Wayne's book. I asked around and a no one could figure out how they could offer the rebuild so cheaply. I am going to have my head work done by Steve Wiener at Rennsport...

Steve's shop is one of the best. I originally thought that they were a performance shop that assembled motors and cars, but Steve recently told me that they do all of their own machine work there as well.

Two other great shops are Competition Engineering and Engine Machine Service (here in LA). I have also heard very good things about Ollies, but I have not used them personally.

Add to that he is one of the most straighforward, honest guys you meet. It is a pleasure to do bisiness with him. Sort of like PP but a local for me.
