930 engine removal- throttle linkage?
I have just about everything disconnected from the engine in my '87 930 preparing for removal. But I can's see where the throttle cable is connected at the top of the engine as shown in Waynes book. If I could see it I'm not sure I could get my hands in to disconnect it. Do you have to remove the CIS system to get to it or is it disconnected somewhere else from beneath the car?

it attaches to a lever just past the sheetmetal over the bellhousing. with the aircleaner off, you should be able to get a pair of needlenose pliers down there to separate the ball and socket. the easiest way is to lower the engine as you would to remove it, then you can get at it.

You can also disconnect the other end from the transmission so the whole rod sortof comes out with the engine...

Disconnect the throttle at the tranny then when the powertrain is out disconnect the linkage from the motor
