2.7 CIS OK w/ 2.8 P/C?
 

Hello,
I am considering upgrading my 2.7 CIS to 2.8 P/C from EBs with 9.5:1 compression. My question is: would the CIS injection handle the increase in cc with a 964 spec cam. I want to retain the CIS inj. and use a 964 spec cam as this is the hottest cam that works with CIS from what I have been able to gather.

Any experience out there?

This would only work if the 2.8 pistons were specifically designed to work with that 964 cam. There would have to be a lot of clearance on the piston valve pockets.
