SC Cam installation questions
 

My engine looks to be out for another week as I await my clutch and miscellaneous parts(MAN! this slope is slippery!!) ... I planned on resealing my leaking chain covers and now I'm thinking that since a rebuild does not seem eminent(knock, knock) I may not have the engine out for some time. Upgrading to SC's would be fairly close. Am I correct in thinking I'm not far away from having the cams out? Pull the rocker arms for tip regrind, slide in cams and time? What am I missing? Thanks guys!

BTW, I have both of Wayne's books...I checked out the cam installation part. I'm hoping I don't have to remove the chain housings in my situation as they are already positioned properly?

Don't miss this chance.. How that for a push. I did SC330's on mine and love it. So you should be flying down that hill now. LOL

You do not need to pull the housings just the covers and the tensioners.

Thanks guys, I'm very excited about this mod! It's not often I get a legitimate excuse (clutch job) to drop my engine. I can once again tell my wife how "helpful" you all are;) I'll keep you posted.

you'll be amazed at how nice it will drive in town. it will actually have decent low rpm response.
