rocker pad parallelism to cam lobe

Sorry I can't type much, finger injury. I'm doing the "dykem" test. Many of the "rubbing's" aren't going too far across. A few are giving a good across pattern. Any helpful tips/techniques? What is the spec on this anyway? 0.001 gap across? 0.001 seems like a lot, don't know, I don't think this is in the Wayne book.

So far I've been using dykem and felt tip markers. Can't seem to find Prussian Blue easily at this point. Car is 89 3.2 with reground cams and resurfaced rocker pads. Thanks, -Henry |

Thanks for the white greese idea. I'll try that next..today I bought some 0.0005 inch feeler stock. I'm thinking if I can't get the feeler in the gap side or if I get significant drag... then the gap on the one end is under 0.0005 inches and I think that's ok. The cam and rocker should "wear" to each other and be reasonably happy for another 15 years or so.

The white grease sounds like a great idea! Let me know how that works out.
