Painting Fiberglass Shroud

Can this shroud be painted? What type of paint will be best and what type of paint should be avoided?

(Just looking for things to do while I wait for my Cam tool from Pelican!)

Thanks for the tip, the photo's look great in that thread... just how I envisioned mine could look if done right.

I ended up painting it with Hi temp red paint. It looks great but I have no idea if it can take a brake cleaner bath. I thought it was gel coat but the fibergass dude I took it to had doubts. Whatever you do, don't use meth chloride paint remover on it. It's the only thing that will eat up resin along with the paint. I had to build the finish back up. I also had to seal the surface with light glass cloth(from hobby shop) and finishing resin. This was on account of oil seepage into cracks from the back side.I then primed it to seal the weave and then painted it. I pop riveted the baffle back on.

I re-did the shroud only after seeing a ton of pictures here and on the web. I some really sweet colors. I especially liked a yellow one with matching valve covers.
