3.2L intake manifold mods

I have a 88 3.2 motor that I would like to sqeeze little more power from. Wondering if anyone on board have done mods to their manifold and what they thought about it after. Rennsport mention about having "flowed" intake. Is it possible to bolt on a different intake manifold like one from 3.6?

The 3.6 heads are different and have 3 bolt mounting for the manifold. You could do it but would take mods. You can send your 3.2 manifold to Extrude hone and they can flow and smooth the interior. If you do a search on extrude hone or intake manifold you should come up with something. Last time I checked it was about $600. There's debate as to how effective it is. Depends in large part to what other mods you have. No point in doing it to a stock motor.

See this thread Intake from a C2 '91 are it "bolt on" to a 930? for pictures and sources for 3.2 to 3.6 intake manifold adapters.

When I decided to Extrude Hone my intake manifold, my intention
was not to gain more power, but rather to gain more even flow.

And more flow would get you what, other than more power?

aw, Wayne I was gonna be nice and not mention that. ;)

Sorry. Wrong choice of words. I should have said more
balanced flow. Instead of more even flow. My goal was to
have a more balanced flow vs. more flow and power from
Extrude Honing. Hope I articulated that correctly.

I had to read that a couple times too, before I caught that it said "more even flow" rather than "even more flow". Funny.
