It's been a long time since I dove down this hole but basically, keeping the cast sleeves ended up being my worst option. For my 72T, I ended up bumping up to 86mm nikasil jugs. I got JE pistons w/ calico ceramic dome and graphite skirt coatings @ 9.5:1. IIRC, the T got cast sleeves while the E and S got something different/better that year. Maybe Trackrash knows...

I understand off the shelf JE pistons are 2618. But JE will make you a 4032 piston if you ask them ..
