Advancement changes in a 3.2 Motronic going to twin plug

I am in the midst of a rebuild and am checking with Steve W the chip maker for suggested advancement changes when going to twin plugging. No, I am not doing the rebuild. I have a trusted mechanic doing the work. He generally recommends an 8 degree retardation in spark for non motronic cars. Any other parameters needed to determine the change needed. The car had bad guide valves, blown clutch and is now changing to a 3.4. Thanks in advance. And again, without speaking directly to my mech, I can entertain some technical questions, (have both Waynes book, Bentley, and Haynes).

I'm not sure if this is a question or a comment, but I think the standard retard for twin plug is more like 6 degrees...

From the book:

"Most twin-plug engines will achieve their peak horsepower output at about 23-24 degrees of total advance, compared with the typical 30 to 35 degrees required for single-plugged engines."
