964 cams in a 2.7

Ok guys I clambered up here from the basement(parts classifieds/parts bin) to get some info on 964 cams.I want to know if a set of cams from a 91 964 can be made to work in a 2.7.I think I have a set of four journal cam towers around here somewhere.
So should I consider this? Whats involved?
Thanks! Charles

I know people have posted that 964 cams work well in the 2.7, but that's also what I heard about the 3.0. I forget what the compression ratio is in the 2.7, but I don't believe it's above 8.5:1. See the following thread for where I stand on this decision:

Elgin "super" SC Cam Grind
