Waynes Book and Loctite

Firstly the rebuild book is the best. I was at Ollies picking up more machine work yesterday. We got on the subject of sealants I told George that you like to use sealant on the webbing inside the case. Not a good idea and not ness. Cant this screw up bearing tolerances? Why is it ness to even seal this area?

Thoughts?

just a guess...

the case thru bolt holes are presurized with oil. if they leak at the parting line that might cause a drop in oil pressure.
