Engine Mechanic in Sacramento or SF Bay Area

I am interested in rebuilding my '71 911 s with the 2.2 L engine. I wanted to find a reputable mechanic in either Sac. or the SF Bay area. Any suggestions? Also, the car will need other work that I will do else where, (eg paint, suspension, small rust removal on the pan) is it a difficult to get the engine and tranny done now and then do the other work at a later date? I assume you would want to pull out the drivetrain to do a complete restoration of the car even if the engine and trannu work had already been done. Would it be better to do the restoration all at one time (assuming the money is available) or is it feasable to do the restoration in parts.

Thanks for your help.
