'79 SC Euro rev limiter?

Does it exist? What is the rev limiter supposed to be set at? Wondering if it's broken, bypassed or not installed. Tach can't be off by that much...

Thanks
Doug

on US cars, it's attached vertically to the inside of the cowl, by the hood hinge. you can see and reach it if you pull the fuel gauge. black plastic, about 3x3x1, white multi wire plug at the bottom, and a X type moulding on it's face.

Thanks John

Does that mean I don't have one? If you unplug it, will the car still work, or would you have to bypass it somehow? I'm a couple days from looking at the car...

My car doesn't have one either.

it will still run if it's unplugged.

Folks,

Doesn't the rotor have a limiter built in?

Your '74 would. Later cars don't.

Just get a shift light. That way you won't have the limiter come on on you in a 90mph turn! :)
