UURGH! Don't you hate doing things over?
Word to the (un)wise: If you have a '72T and are finishing up the last touches so you can install your motor in the morning, don't forget to install the oil return hose!:( As in, don't forget to install the oil return hose BEFORE installing the heat exchangers, exhaust system, and MFI pump. I knew I was missing something!
Oh well, the motor's been out of the car for over a year, so what's another day? Or week? Or two weeks? :o Looks like I'll get some good practice with those heat exchangers in the morning, which are such a joy to begin with! The MFI pump and muffler came off tonight, but I'm too tired and frustrated to do any more. Oh yeah, I need a beer! :D -Jim |

Or the starter ring gear after the engine is installed.

I wasn't going to brag, but during my rebuild I didn't have a new o-ring for the transmission guide tube (it doesn't come in the gasket kit, which is nuts). I was too impatient to wait for a new one to come, and I paid for it with another engine drop last week.
