Cam tower removal ?

I am buying a used motor that has cam tower leaks. I will probably use at is but I was curious what is involved. looks like the timing chains come off, rockers come out and then the towers come off. The heads and head studs can stay on. IS that right? Might be a bigger pain than it is worth?

Never mind, I just looked in the rebuild book - way more than I want to tackle without going all of the way. Maybe its the rocker shafts or return tubes, have to look when it gets here.
