Anyone have a modified S Cam by Elgin Cams? Care to comment?

I have a set of these cams in my 2.7 MFI with 9.8:1 JEs that I'm rebuilding and have been pleasantly surprised by the low end torque that this powerplant produces. I was wondering whether anyone else out there has any feedback.

I have heard similar comments as well. However, the 9.8:1 CR should help the low end torque compared to a regular RS-spec engine. (8.5:1).

I've put these cams in a 3.0 with 40 IDA Webers, 40mm ports, 1 3/4" headers, and 9.8/1 JE pistons. I was also very surprised by the low end torque, while still retaining the early-S type of top end pull. It pulled hard all the way to redline and wanted to keep going.

Also installed them in a 3.5 made from a 3.0 bottom end with 3.6 pistons and cylinders. (Please don't ask how this was accomplished. My head still hurts from all the complications.) This motor felt the same way, except even more so, due to the extra displacement.

It's good to hear that they work well with a smaller motor as well.
