Help, before i buy my k27 high flow!
Beep Beep has just got me thinking about garret gt turbos.
im building a 3.3 turbo with 7.5-1 comp, sc cams , headers, 1bar spring and (up until five mins ago) a k27 high flow. would a garret gt series turbo be a better bet? are they a better turbo? if so, why? help!!!!!! |
Me like GT veeery muuucho.
They are good beacuse they: 1. Have fewer parts. 2. Are computer designed 3. Have easily available maps that help you to chose right size w/o having to speak with black magic shamans. 4. Their maps show good efficiency numbers. 5. You can get them any way you want: black, white, Ball Bearing, floating, built-in wastegate etc. 6. They are usually installed on our Scania and Volvo lorries which make them easy to find :D Help yourself: http://project911.luminasweden.com/garrettcatalog.pdf |

I believe the Kokeln turbo is a garret unit. Anyone that have experience with the Kokeln?

I'm don't really know all the facts about it, but I've heard the Garrett is designed for a watercooled engine and there are different oil cooling requirements so changes are needed for the oil supply.
