Collapsible Oil Return Tubes if Heat Exchangers Have Been Pulled Off
I am in the process of a minor overhaul of my '71 911 s. I am putting on new heat exchangers because the factory ones are about done and I also need to replace the oil return tubes. Is it worth getting the collapsible return tubes if I have the heat exchangers off the engine?
Thanks Zac

If your oil return tubes are leaking it's probably best to replace them. If you replace them without pulling your cam carriers then you will have to install collapsible ones. It's not that hard to do once you've got the HE's off. The plain and simple of it is crush the old ones (if they're the solid type) and pull them out and install the new ones.
