Can I use 3.6 turbo pistons and cylinders on my 3.3 turbo
can i increase the cubic capacity of my 3.3 turbo to 3.6 by using pistons and barrels from a 3.6? i understand that ill have to use a low comp piston but, assuming the 3.6 barrels fit, would i have to run the same compression as the 3.3 turbo? is it as striaght forward as that or would i need 3.6 heads etc?

I always thought the 3.3 case needed to be modified to fit the 3.6 P & C.

is that right? hmmmmm......

You have to include the 3.6 crank too. The 3.6 turbo is a bored and stroked 3.3. To fit the 3.6 crank, some of the case has to be grinded slightly to clear the throws.

thanks blokes, 3.3 it is then!

You could use 100mm and be at a 3.5 setup. I will not bore a 3.3 case for 100s. The spigots become to thin and will cause issues down the road and certainly will leak. You can go the old way and use liners like Andial did. The most I will open those up to are a 98mm which require no machining to the case. That and a half of point bump in CR and you are set for a nice running car. Don't forget the twin plug for that added heat, I mean HP :D
