964 rockers in a 930?

i have 964 cam housings and ive been told that i cant use them for my 3.3 because the rocker cover bolts are too small for the turbo covers, is this true? if this is the case, can i use the 964 rockers in some 930 cam housings?

The 930 and 964 cam carriers (housings) have different cam covers (what you are calling rocker covers).
The 930 cam carrier has 8mm studs that the covers fit over.
The 964 cam carrier has 6mm studs that the covers fit over.
964 rockers (the thing that rides on the cam and valve stem) are the same as 930. (They have the same part #.) The rockers have nothing to do with the cam covers/"rocker covers".
I think but I'm not sure, that on the 964 the oil line where it goes into the cam carrier, is skinnier so it clears the top cover.
The 964 and late 911/930 cam carriers have the same casting number on the side. If your "964" carrier has 8mm studs holding the cover on, you have a 911 or 930 cam carrier.

hope that helps,
Chris
