Carrera oil pump in a 2.2 issue

I put a carrera oil pump with the built on scavenger screen in a 2.2 ltr. When you do that, the sump plate you have to use is a dish shape with no oil drain plug. This necesitates loosening or taking the sump plate off to change oil. Has anyone been there?? Any recommendations on a better solution??

We've got what you need

Supertec makes a sump plate conversion for just such an engine. $50.00 and your old conversion sump plate. If this seems too expensive you can machine a bung and braze it into your sump plate and screw in your a drain plug from a 3.2.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1084999347.jpg
