WTB out of spec engine parts
Short story.... I volunteer my time teaching some high school age kids auto mechanics and light engineering. To start, we do a bunch of measuring (calipers, dial gauge, etc) and tolerancing, then move to light machining operations .
I would love to get them some Porsche engine parts to work with. Out of spec is great.... and actuall preferred. Anyone have any junk in the basement they would part with? I'm in the northeast and will gladly swing by anyplace reasonable close to save on shipping. Vin |
One mans juck is another mans.......
We have a great deal of Porsche parts that won't be going back into any engine we'd build, so you're welcome to them. We also have some transmission parts we would be willing to donate. Now here's the problem, we're out here on the left coast. Let me know if we can help with the kids.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1085073317.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1085073328.jpg

My idea for old engine parts was to blast them and make them into coffee tables...

My living room has it's automobile limit. The little women have allowed two Michael Bryan's ( a local artist) Monaco and Cruisin'. If I tried an Indy wheel table, or hub cap coasters and I'd be sleeping alone.:)
