Oil Missing
O.K. So now I have my engine running I have started the break in proceedure described by Wayne in his excelent book. I put in 12 Quarts of oil (10.5 initially and the topped up during running. I ran for 20 mins and then drained all the oil (on a level surface) - I have collected 7.5 Quarts (about 4.5 from the tank and the rest from the "sump"...The remote oil cooler did not open up (The line never got warm)... So where did the 4.5 Quarts go - seems like a lot ?? (no major oil leaks either)....

The engine oil cooler probably has about 2 quarts. Drop that lower, rubber hose and see what you get.

It's still in there, with a bit probably burned off. This is why you need to change your oil quite a bit during the initial break-in - you can't easily flush the system out...
