distributor choice

ok, so i'm collecting parts to put together a 2.7 motor for use in my 914. i plan on using it mostly for street, but maybe some occasional track use as well. i plan on using 9.5 to 1 JE pistons, have not yet decided on a cam, but maybe S or elgin mod S. i'll most likely be using carbs, unless i find a killer deal on an mfi set up.
most of the dizzies i see for sale for 2.7 applications are the bosch 001 or 004.
considering that i will have either one custom curved, is either one better for me, or is their something else that would work better? the case is open rigt now, so i can change the drive gear if neccesary. any help would be greatl appreciated.

The 2.7 distributor has an excellent curve for the engine you're building. I would just use a stock one from 1974-77 and run with it...
