Here's a graph that I made from data supplied by Camgrinder that compares the "Early S" cam profile with a "CIS" profile. I got the "Early S" profile from Camgrinder, but I'm not sure where I got the CIS profile nor which CIS profile it is.

Bottom line, I wouldn't take this chart as absolute truth, but it is certainly representative of the differences between the two types of cams.
