Chain tensioner sprocket bushing

I was looking at my chain tensioner sprocket bushing tonight and can see that some of the bushing is pretty worn.

Should I replace or rebushing them?

Is this something that Porsche machine shops normally rebush or should I just buy a new sprocket holder.

I could just buy the holder, and they are $82.50 through pelican. I guess it'd be cheaper to rebush but by the time I figure my time to take it up the machine shop I use (1 hour), pay them to do the work, and drive back is it gonna be just as easy to buy a new one?

Anyone know what the going rate is to rebush one of these things?

I would go with a new sprocket that way it is one more good place for your new chain...sprockets are expendable

Ditto. Consider it an expendable part and get new to go with the new chains. There is wear and tear on the sprockets. Cheap insurance to the cost of going back in...

Just for the record, its not the sprocket, its the bushing on the holder.

But I hear what you guys are saying.

Thanks,

Brian
