There is a set of used P&Cs up on ebay, they are alusil. At the risk of ignniting a huge flame war, is it possible to re-ring Alusils?

If I need a good set of used P&Cs for a 2.7, what are my other options?

Well I did it so I'd say yes, they can be re-ringed, subject of course to the condition & wear of them.

Make sure you can return them if they are not within spec.
