HELP / very high oil pressure

1979 sc 3.0 engine in a 914-Checking my oil pressure with a mechanical gauge my readings are 40psi at idle 100psi at 3500rpm. I have inspected the relief springs and pistons which fell right out and looked fine.? Oil poured out like I was draining the sump, a search on other threads said only a few ounces should drain out.
I am not running cam oil restrictors but have an external oil thermostat (like used on the trombone cooler) which has a relief circuit in it also, could this be the cause. Could the engine hard line and oil tank lines running into the thermostat be hooked up wrong causing it.
I just purchased new relief springs and pistons for the crankcase and will install.
The high oil pressure is causing my turbo seals to leak into the exhaust side, I have been trying to remedy this with a large sump and huge drain line. I restricted the oil feed into the turbo with a 36 nitrous injector nozzle which slowed the leaking some but not enough to allow me to drive around town without a smoke trail. Others who are running the same BAE Rayjay turbo with the same engine have had no oil seal leaking problems without restricting the feed, the turbo was just rebuilt by Turbo City, I sent it back to have it retested and the turbo is ok. I believe my drain sump and Tilton oil pump are more than adequate to scavenge the oil. Any clues. Summer is short up here I want to start enjoying my car.
What are the causes of high oil pressure:

Is this fully warmed up, or cold. On start-up, my pressures are about the same (maybe a bit higher). I run 20W50 oil.

Fully warmed up, I could see 90 or 100 at 6000, but at 3000 I think 90 to 100 is to high, and my turbo is unable to drain it out fast enough, most of my oil leaking into the exhaust happens at around the 3000, 3500 cruising on the hyway.
