Newbie: Engine Rebuild Question.

Hi,

I've been lurking these forums for a while now and decided to post my first question.

I have a 1989 930 and am contemplating an engine rebuild on it.

Can anyone give me an idea of how much time/labour I'd expect to pay for a complete rebuild?

I'm supplying most of the major parts myself, so just curious about time to complete.

I don't have any digital pics of my car to post as I don't have a digi camera or scanner yet.

Thanks,

James.

James,

The costs vary depending on what has to be done. Why do you feel that you need a re-build? Have you a copy of the engine re-build book?

Keep in mind that some mechanics will not warranty their work on parts they did not supply. The parts are also a profit point for many shops.
