Need a machine shop in CT
I am new to CT and need a recommendation on a machine shop to grape hone my Nikasil cyls, clean and check my case, and check my crank and rods.
Thanks in advance! |
KAM motorsports?

I've seen their ad in the PCA CVR newsletter. I'll give them a ring. Thanks.

FYI to anyone in CT. KAM is highly recommended. I went by the shop and they spent a lot of time explaining my options and answering my dumb newbie questions. The pricing was more than fair.
Not to mention that they had several 4 Cam 550 motors in various states of construction. Jerry is an old timer who's specialy it the 4 cammer. Gene was great to work with and had a great sense of humor. Needless to say I dropped off my case, crank, and rods. |
My parts came back from KAM yesterday. The crank and rods were magnafluxed. No problems were found. The crank didn't even need to be polished. Thank you Mr. Amsoil :-)
All my other parts came back thoroughly cleaned and I'm ready to start my rebuild. Now the fun begins. |
