crankcase vent question
How long would it take to damage rings and flywheel seal if the crankcase vent was accidently plugged?
|
Not sure you would experience piston ring damage.
Oil will find it's way out of the crankcase via the weakest gasketed/sealed joint. Could be a crank seal but also through a hose connection or a valve cover gasket. If you inadvertantly and temporarily plugged the crankcase vent and you haven't experienced any leaks, you're probably safe. MHO, Sherwood |
You woudl probably push some seals out, whichever is easiest for the blowby to move first.
