Chain Housings

Hi All

I'm being held up waiting for my chain covers to be machined and was wondering if I can install my camshfts and rockers first and then the chain boxes, It might be a fiddle getting them on but is it possible?

TIA

Not much you can do. You can't time the cams because you won't have the idler pullys in place. The only thing you could do is install the cams and get the pully alignment done. You'd have to take the pullys (sprokets) off again to get the chain housings on but at least you'd know how many shims you need under the sprokets.
