Pop/Backfire at startup

I have a short stroke 3.2 that I recently changed from 46mm PMOs to 50mm PMOs. When I start the car I get a single backfire (loud) and then it starts right up and all seems fine. This happens very consistently. Didn't really notice this problem before the change and nothing else is changed (that I am aware of).

Any ideas thoughts -- please

Thanks
David

If it lugs, pops, and backfires it is probably too lean.
