Hydraulic pump belt

Hi,
Under the 1990 C2, 964 today I decided to replace the power steering belt. Was down there for regular 12K service. The car is at 45,000 miles, so the time is here for rubber belts. Yesterday did the secondary distributer drive belt, and added the vent hose kit.
Have already ordered the cam holding tool from Porsche. The question is this: I also noticed too much oil is getting past the cam shaft seal. It seems from initial inspection that that seal and O ring can be replaced with the engine in place. Is this true?

yes, the seals and oring are old and brittle. Its a pia job, but you can do it with the motor in place. get the sheet metal out of your way, pull the pump aside, and drop the ps console off the rear cam housing. Its common, but definetely not a fun job.

Thanks Christian,
Yes, it does look like a character-building job. I will try to keep the language civilized! Great help to know that it can be done, from someone who has been there.
