So where does this go?

I am currently putting my 1972 "T" back together.
The engine that I put in it is also a "T" but it is a 73.
Can I get a few pics of the engine bay so I can tell where all the hoses go. Both sides would be a great help.
I think I know where it all goes but there seems to be a few more then I remember

Here is my project

any idea

There shouldn't be that many hoses, just the fuel hoses, the 2 vacumn lines running from the t-bodies to the dizzy, a breather hose and that's about it.

Jim Sims 09-12-2004 05:22 AM

No, there are more hoses than that. There are also the vapor recovery system hoses running to and from the charcoal cannister up front. It also depends on the "T" engine being installed; in the US there was 1973 MFI and a 1973 CIS engine used in the "T" models. Provide more specifics and I may be able to provide you with figures and photographs. Jim

Jim,
This is a MFI "T" engine, that I am removing the vapor recovery system.
Thanks For the help

Hose 58 in the fuel filter figure doesn't apply to MFI.

Have images of oil lines but can't post since this site is "farked-up". Later, Jim

Jim,
Thank you very much for the help, I think it will be a few weeks before I can work on it. Hurricane is coming my way , I mean really my may. So I have to haul ass. Thanks again

deoxford 09-24-2004 08:59 PM

Jim,
I am back from the Hurricane, and was looking over the oil line specs you sent me . Thanks again
Can you tell me where the two hose numbered 901.107.394.00 and 901.107.394.04 go? Maybe a pic ? Thanks again!!
Derek

.00 attaches to the nozzle on the bottom of the engine mounted oil cooler on the front, bottom, passenger side of the engine. .04 is a breather hose which either attaches to the breather nozzle on the front, top of the engine or the air cleaner housing.

Derek,

I'm glad to hear you're OK, it looks like you were in a bad spot for Ivan. Did your garage (and house) make it thorough OK?

We're about to get Huricane #3 for the season here in Melbourne. It's set my workshop/garage project back 3 months already. Hopefully this one will not be any worse than the previous two. 120MPH winds forcast for tonight. Wish me luck.

Correction to above locations and numbers: (1) item 30, the suction hose to engine mounted oil cooler doesn't have the correct part number in the above diagram; the correct part number is 911.207.318.01, (2) hose 901.107.394.04 connects to the air cleaner, and (3) hose 901.107.394.00 connects to the engine breather at the front top of the engine. Jim
