79SC -- Decel Valve and actuator vacuum line

To the List -- can any provide guidance on the routing of the vacuum lines on my 79SC particularly with respect to the actuator vacuum line on the top of my bell shaped decel valve which is attached to the rear (same side as the flywheel, opposite side from the air filter) of throttle body. All diagrams appear to have the longer vacuum hose from the thermo valve (more precisely, coming off of the T fitting from the hose attached to the center of the thermo valve) attaching to the top of the decel valve. HOWEVER, the vacuum line coming off the top of my decel valve was routed directly to a nipple extending from the rear of the throttle body located immediately next to a larger fitting which received one of the larger hoses which was attached to the side of the decel valve.

My questions are as follows:

1) If the longer hose from the thermo valve attaches to the top of the decel valve, what attached to the fitting on the rear of the throttle body?

2) If the current configuration is correct (top of the decel valve to the rear of the throttle body), where would the longer hose from the thermo valve go?

3) Any thoughs on where the thermo valve should mount (or is the answer anyplace you can mount it)?

Thanks in advance for your time,
Duane Duclaux
