Question High milage 993

I ran across a 96 993 showing 97,000 miles -asking 30,000. Did a visual walk-around, but nothing else. Generally speaking is 97K a lot of miles for the 993.
I recently sold a turbo-look 85 with 117,000 miles and it ran very well.

Opinions?

If this 993 has been decently maintained, and the owner can show proof of it, no worries. These cars, like most other P-car products can and will go several hundered thousand miles without major trouble. IF the owner maintained the car and driven within its limits..

All the better if these were freeway miles

Question PPI this week

The car is at a dealership locally which has an excellent reputation for quality cars. I have bought several P cars from them in the past with good results. They told me Saturday the car would go into their shop for complete diagnostics on Mon or Tuesday. In the meantime I have located another 96, this time a Cab with only 57,000 miles "in pristine condition" for 34,500. Thanks for the responses-I'll keep the forum posted.

Larry

Larry,

As a data point, I recently sold a 95 with around 55k miles for $32,000. Car was white over blue, cup clutch, harness repair done, 18 inch wheels, 60k service complete. Overall, a really nice car that I just wasn't driving enough to justify.

Both I and the buyer, a friend's brother felt like we got a very fair deal.

Jess
