I'm glad this worked out!

now...are you sure you put the seals on the oil pump?:)

sorry couldn't resist. I forgot to put them in the first time I assembled my case. I remembered the second time I assembled my case, but that time I pulled one of the perimiter studs. the third time I assembled my case I got it all right.

Put plastic wrap over the openings in the piston case to keep the wrist pin clips from flying off and dropping down into the engine!!!!!

Didn't get as far as I would have liked. Something about having 3 young kids... I did put the rings on 3 of the pistons and that wan't too bad. I found that the tool I purchased was sort of clumsy so I just used my hands. I have Wayne's book and can see why the plastic wrap is so important.

I did read that I should start at the transmission side and work backwards when installing the pistons on the arms. Also install one circlip while on the workbench right?

Yes one circlip on the bench and the other after the piston is installed.
