Removing Oil Cooler... engine in?
 

Is it possible to remove the oil cooler and replace the seals without dropping the engine? I think this may be the source of one of my major leaks.

HMM yes, it can be done. It might not be easy with a 930. You will have to get behind the CIS and remove the rear ducting cover as well as the side and rear section of engine sheet metal. This all requires a partial engine drop. You only need to drop the engine 4-5 inches to get access. You may also have to remove the air box and intercooler. Its only two bolts and an oil line to remove the cooler.

I too suspect a partial drop might work, but I'm pretty sure you'll have/want to remove the intercooler, air filter and A/C. There a plastic cover that you'll also have to remove. The oil cooler is held on by 4 nuts if I remember correctly. The 2 on top might be tricky to have access to.

Well, I got pretty good at it earlier this year while searching for an oil leak on the "T". It involved removing the engine tin (and thus carbs) to reach the top 2 nuts and removing the right side heat exchanger to drop the cooler. Gotta think doing this with a 930 would be a mess 'o work.

You can do it without the drop. Knock the 10mm bolts away from the shroud. Knock the two off the back on the top and use an extension and knock the 13mm off on the side. Not terrible to do. Just messy.
