We generally just do engines and transmissions but Jerry is a good guy so we decided to do the whole project. |

Henry, Your work is gorgeous!! I too am afflicted with painting, polishing and plating any of my porsche projects. In my opinion a project isn't complete , until you do so. Dan

But you've got to feel bad for the little field mouse that lost it's nest...
http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/bawling.gif ... NOT! |
Schweet!!
You know, they have fancy new drugs for that behavior. ;) |
So what would you have done differently if you wanted it to be a show car....
|
That's excellent!
The solex cam with the 2.7MFI is a great call. How did you like the results as compared to a S cam? I've thought about this combo before and wondered what it would be like. Maybe even going with smaller ports, something like 32 or 34mm ports to make a 2.7E MFI motor. What space cam did you go with in the injection pump? |
Beautiful Henry!

what did you use for paint and undercoating of the suspension peices and tub?
|
Wurth undercoat and powder coating. Aluminium parts are bead blasted. The gold parts are cad 2 (zink plating). Why they call it cad2 is a mystery to me.

Henry I agree with you about being a bit anal. Although your attention to detail on engine builds is phenomenal. Give me a hot rod anyday over a showcar. I have noticed that since I have started buying up parts for my hot rod which is in need of a chassis I have gotten very involved in every detail. I guess you could say its the nature of the beast.

How was the finish on the fan achieved?

Boy, I can't see any reason to even consider shipping my engine to CA from TX for your services. :p
