Porsche Crest Moving The Fuel pump

I was wondering if anyone has moved the stock fuel pump up to the front on a early car? (2.4 MFI)
This is to help with vapor lock correct?
I was thinking of doing this when I replaced the fuel lines.
Does it help? should I waste my time or is the current stock placement ok?

Hi

I don't think moving the fuel pump would alter much (in fact earlier 911 had it forward), Do MFI's have a vapour lock problem? You are probably better served getting you pump rebuilt, despite what bosch says you can pull them apart and clean them up
