Yes, as long and they don't show any signs of damage you can re-use them.

The through bolts, nuts and washers are reused. I've never heard of using new ones.

Yeah, what they said. ARP supposedly either has or is developing a case-thru bolt kit as an option (and probably an expensive one at that).

TORQUING A COURSE THREAD BOLT ???

We typically reuse case through bolts. That said, we feel that the up-dated fine thread bolts are preferable to the early course thread bolts. We up-grade all performance engines to these bolts. They are found on engines from 78 and later 3.0, 3.2 and 3.3 turbos. Torquing a fine tread nut is always preferable to torquing a course thread. Porsche must agree or they would not have changed them. Will it make a difference you can see. I think not, but we've got them so we use them.

BTW: Porsche race engines have a special case through bolt. They are slightly larger and have a wide section where the case halves meet that work like shuffle pins to help the case stay aligned. The wide section has a slot cut in it to allow for oil to flow past it. If ARP is making case bolts let's hope they follow Porsche's lead. If not perhaps Supertec should make some. Who knows?
