Twin cam 911 motor
Hallo,
I m a German 911 fan. Since a few month I read sometimes in this Forum. I get always good and interesting informations. Thank you all. A few weeks ago I found something about a twin cam 911 motor written by Will Ferch. I was surprised that this motor realy exists. I never read or saw something about a twin cam 911. Can somebody be so helpfull and give me some more informations about the motor. Where was it used and when. Or maybe you know someone who has some more informations. The reason why I ask is, that I have an offer to buy a twin cam motor like this 911 motor. But I m not sure if it was realy a 911 motor. The motor looked like 911(with twin cam) MFI and twin distributor Marelli. Maybe it is still available but I also have no idea about the price? Can somebody give me an idea how much to pay for such a motor ? I will be thankfull for all informations somebody can tell me. (Please excuse my writing) Greetings from Germany Hamburg Rolf ![]() |

1n 1967 or 68 Porsche built a twin cam 2.0 ltr motor with model Nr. 916, strictly for racing. I have a friend with a 67 911 who would be very happy to find a motor like this. As far as price, anyones guess as they made only a few.

As far as I know Porsche made 16 of these engines which were used in 911R, The twin cam design was later used in the 8cyl racing engines, As for values I'd give you 10K Neven |

The 959 was also a twin-cam motor (4 cams total).
